CAP Annual Symposium
The Campus Ambassador Symposium runs for two-and-a-half days at a hotel located near our headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida. The goal is to give you – and more than 100 other CAPs – the training needed to recruit fellow students to join the registry. All it takes is a simple cheek swab and a short questionnaire to someday have the chance to save a cancer patient’s life.
We will fly you to Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, pay for your accommodations, and transportation from and to the airport. Meals at the event are included. On the last evening of the symposium, you’ll attend our banquet and witness the emotional moment when a transplant recipient meets their heroic donor for the first time!
Sessions may include:
- Opening session with Gift of Life Founder, CEO and transplant survivor Jay Feinberg
- The Science of Saving Lives – How a Small Bag of Cells Can Cure Cancer
- How To Set Up And Manage Your Swab Drive
- Marketing Your Events
- Fundraising Tips
There will also be one fun group activity offsite.
We know you (and your parents) probably have questions. Just let us know and we can either email or call you.
